FEATURING
The inaugural Silfest drew a lively crowd. The event transformed the village hall car park into a vibrant hub of music, flavour and festivity.
Alongside the stellar music lineup, guests enjoyed a hand-picked selection of local brews
and the Craft Gin Bar offered a wide array of artisan gins surrounded by twinkly lights.
The music lineup blended talent from across the U K alongside some local favourites.
Opened by the high-energy DAS BRASS, known for performing at Glastonbury's opening ceremonies, festival goers were also treated to stunning vocals from Amazon Music's "one to watch" Christy,
upbeat anthems from Britain's Got Talent star BigMamaFunk, retro hits from the The Dream Supremes, a stirring performance by Jade Thornton - semi finalist in the Busking Workd Cup,
with local Guildford band The Manor House closing the night and (very nearly literally) bringing the house down
"But Silfest was never just about one event - it was a shining example of the Silchester community ( and wider family and friends) at its absolute best" said Ben Samuels-Brown, Chairman of the Silchester Association
"We had everything from volunteers on the ground to the school kindly lending us the stage, to neighbouring farmers stepping in with straw bales.
We couldn't be more thrilled with how the first Silfest truned out"
With ideas brewing for 2026, one thing is certain - Silfest 2025 was just the beginning of something very special.
