Beer Festival – Saturday 9th September

Three beers from Bond Brews, the new brewery in Wokingham will be featured this year with names to tickle your taste buds such as “Whirly Bird”, “Bengal Tiger” and “Railway Porter” as well as some from old favourites such as Long Dogs whose “Wobbly Whippet” ale will be featured. There will also be a live band and food from the Pop Up Café.

Photography Exhibition – 7th October - in Silchester School Hall

Due to the lack of natural light in the barn at Silchester Farm, we have been lucky to be able to change the venue to Silchester School Hall.  I now have five local photographers signed up who will be exhibiting some of their work as well as a project with the school where the children will be out in the summer holidays taking pictures which will be exhibited at the exhibition. I am really pleased that the children of the village want to be part of the show. So far, genres of photography include landscapes, wildlife, astro-photography, pets, portraits and possible aviation. We still have room for a few more exhibitors so don’t be shy about putting your name forward. For more information contact me at secretary@silchester.org
