"picnic on the green"

The Silchester Association is hoping to organise a “picnic on the green” on August Bank Holiday Monday – 31st August 2015 from 12:00-16:00.

The afternoon is planned to be very informal with minimal effort.

Families will be asked to bring their own picnics and we plan to have a bar (most likely provided by the Calleva), some live music, possibly some classic cars and games (e.g. rounder’s, football, treasure trail, etc).

Andy Hartley and I are currently leading the organisation of the event but we are fairly low on other helpers from the Association due to vacations.

This message is to ask if any of you would be kind enough to spare some time to help us during the event? We promise it will not be major work but if you can be available and are willing to help, it gives us both confidence that we can successfully deliver the event.

If you are willing to help please contact me  paulbaker@silchester.org.

Regards

Paul Baker

Picnic on the Green

A summer “picnic on the green” is being planned for the August bank holiday Monday 31st August from mid-day until 4pm. This will be a very relaxed family event for the whole village. Families should plan to bring their own picnics to the afternoon’s celebrations. There will also be a bar, music and games at the event. More details will be shared next month.
