You may have missed the lucky draw but on-line entries are still open until 12 noon on Friday 10th May

There will be two races again this year of 2.5 and 5 miles on our established routes around the Silchester Roman Site and the woods of Benyon's Enclosure. All finishers will get a medal, water and banana plus trophies and vouchers for the following categories:

5 mile race

Female                         1st, 2nd and 3rd place

16 and under boys       1st, 2nd and 3rd place

16 and under girls         1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Male veteran                 1st

Female veteran              1st

We are encouraging participants to register in advance with discounted prices to avoid queuing on the day as we hope to have around 500 runners again. We have reduced prices for children to encourage their entries and the whole family to participate.

Again this year we will have chip timing to speed up the finish and award of trophies and give runners their time straight away.

There will be plenty to eat and drink with the Pop Up cafe serving teas, coffees and cake, a bar serving real ale, courtesy of The Calleva Arms, as well as wine and soft drinks and a BBQ.

There will be a drop in style circus from 10 until 1 to keep the children amused together with games and penalty shoot outs.

There will be music, car parking on the Common and bike racks and we are hoping for another really good family day in the village.

As in previous years the marshals and helpers are invited to walk the course on the morning of Bank Holiday Monday 6th May.
